Blessing of mosaics

A belated note to record the blessing of the mosaics at Kingsland (in the absence of the Roman Miscellanist - on holiday in Rome) on the Feast of the Epiphany. Bishop Bernard Longley celebrated the 11am Mass during which he blessed the 2 new mosaics.

What better day than this to return to blogging. A title used for the Epiphany is The manifestation of Christ to the gentiles which is a fairly accurate description of a Catholic blog!

A further incentive was the presence here at Kingsland of possibly the most blogged about person I know - Fr Richard whinder - who is saying mass (as I write) before setting off for Rome. The picture shows Fr W (whose constant appearance on so many blogs may cause some sort of overload!) with Fr Schofield (of Roman Miscellany) in the sacristy.
